Other media blogs

So i’ve been trying to keep up with all this blog stuff and have been doing some research.
And as I have been stumbling upon the far reaches pf the world wide web……I have come across some nice places for me to do some research in my own blog.
I find ‘The New(ish) Journalism’ to be greatly informative on, to me, different types of media that I’ve really never experienced before and I look forward to exploring this blog even more thoroughly.

TV for the musically inclined and of commodious stature

Yesterday after school, I worked so diligently on my homework! Trying to complete it as quickly and perfectly as possible. Why? Not because I wanted to (I’m not that studious….) but because of the TV show that is the highlight of my week, every week.
The reason I wanted to get all my work out of the way is because of Glee!!
Every week since the show has started, Wednesdays have always one of the better days of my week because of the reward I receive after I trudge through the school day.
Glee, is without a doubt, my new favorite show. It offers something for everyone! Whether it be the music, or the riotous humor that will have you laughing at the most random lines.
Glee also provides several literary devices, such as constructing pathos for a character.
All I ask of you is that if you haven’t seen it yet, go give it a chance (just to talk to me about it)……….so I won’t be lonely……..

Song of My Week

Well, this is kinda, not really, my first real post; and if you so diligently read the title, you certainly must have come to the conclusion that my first choice of digital media is a song.
If you guessed that, I offer you my complete felicitations.
But that’s beside the point……
Anyway, my song of the week is ‘Seven Nation Army’ by The White Stripes.
Why this song? Well mostly because a friend and I were messing around and found how to play it….well he found how to play it…..I just listened. Even though the song has less than around 10 notes, it still has a strong beat. I found myself humming the notes to myself everyday this week.
I’ve uploaded it so you guys can listen to it if you want, no pressure. Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

My Theme

Hey, People! Perhaps by fate, or some magical pixie, you have stumbled upon my brand new class blog. On my own, I probably would never have started my own blog…but here I am now, writing this blog for my English class. “What could an English class possibly write about on a blog?” you ask yourselves. The answer…anything! My teacher has given our class free roam to write about anything that attracts our minds inner eye (to an extent). And I have chosen to write about the wondrous and overrated world that is digital media.
Movies, TV shows, video games, actors/actresses, TV episodes, musical groups, etc. Each week I plan to approach at least one of these genres and pick my favorite from the bunch. Such as my favorite actor/actress of the week, or which song just happened to touch me deep down. These choices won’t be new, I could choose a Kansas song one week if one of their songs just happened to satisfy my weekly media desires.
This blog and all its content are for simply entertainment reason only and for my own enjoyment in a long-term English assignment. But please, feel free to comment, review, politely critique, or just enjoy my writings all you want. The more the comments, the merrier.
And so I end this lengthy( and hopefully only boring) 1st ceremonial post with an invite to all who read this to travel with so I won’t feel like I’m talking to myself…and enjoy these short and hopefully comedic reviews and comments on my favorite pieces of digital media!
